My natural way to heal urinary tract infections

Today I’m sharing a very simple way to heal bladder infection that you can do at home and at almost no cost.

This time the infection was bad and came on so fast!

There was blood in my urine!
— Satomi

I know many people get bladder infections, especially women.

If I go to a doctor, they'll give me antibiotics and I’ll need to take that for a week or so. And that’s not so good for my body.  And I want to avoid it right?  That's why I do this instead.  Out of all the home remedies for urine infection, this one is my favourite.

I've had bladder infections here and there. some were minor. some were worse. Lately, I had a very bad one.  It was one of the worst ones!  And it hit me very fast!

Right after I realized that I had a bladder infection, I was going to the washroom every 10 minutes.  And the worst part was that there was blood in my urine every time I went.  This is how it was the whole 2 hours I was making and eating dinner!

I didn't even think about going to see a doctor. especially in this time of COVID.

How I heal a UTI naturally

So here’s what I did right after dinner... It's called okyu in Japanese or moxibustion in English.

To do it, I treat pressure points by burning mugwort (scientific name is Artemisia Vulgaris).  The heat goes through my skin and treats the pressure points.

Only three things are needed to do okyu:

  1. Sliced ginger (approximately 1 mm thick)

  2. Mugwort

  3. Incense / lighter

And here’s how to do okyu (hint: it’s easier than you might think):

  1. Find pressure points (see diagram for pressure points for UTI)

  2. Place ginger on the pressure point and put a pinch of mugwort in a small mound on it (the size of the mound should be a little smaller than a pencil eraser)

  3. Light the mugwort using the incense (it should burn as an ember in a similar way to the incense that is used to light it)

  4. Repeat steps 1 to 3, between three and five times

To be most effective, it’s necessary to feel the heat. But it’s always desirable to avoid being burnt by the heat passing through the ginger.  I find a nice temperature that I like somewhere between warm and hot.

I like using ginger slices because if it gets too hot, I can just pick it up.  The traditional way uses a paste for a base instead of ginger, then I can't pick it up. I’ve gotta suck it up instead (laughter).  So I like ginger.

And safety first.  So a few words of caution here:

  1. I always work somewhere with enough space that I can be undisturbed

  2. I always work somewhere that has nothing that can bump the incense or burning mugwort (I avoid having blankets or anything around and don’t work on top of carpet or bedding)

  3. I’m always careful to lift the ginger quickly if it gets hot but carefully so no burning mugwort drops onto me or anywhere else

  4. As the ginger dries (and thins) out, the heat transfers through it faster

The treatment results were pretty impressive

I did that okyu treatment intensively with Paul's help for one and half hours!  When it's a minor infection, just 20-30 minutes would be enough.

By the time we were done though, my urine was completely clear.  No blood in it at all!!  It was such a relief. There was less discomfort and no pain!!  And I could relax

It was almost bedtime then and I wasn't sure if I could sleep.  But my bladder was settling down very fast.  And guess what?  I slept right through the night!

And the next morning, there were no symptoms at all.  I was completely healed.

Natural healing for urinary tract infections, headaches, and much more

All I needed was just slices of ginger and mugwort. That's it. And I ordered the mugwort online.

And I’ve used okyu for lots of different issues. Not just for bladder infection. And one convenient place that the necessary pressure points can be referenced is online.
