Reprogram Subconscious Mind Part 3: Breathe to be calm, confident & relaxed
In this video, we're sharing a very simple way to reprogram the subconscious mind to release anxious feelings and fears, so you can not only be calm, relaxed and confident but also regain control of your life.
The subconscious mind is powerful but can also be limiting
The subconscious mind is amazing. But also, sometimes the subconscious mind works too well. It’s default behaviour is to keep us safe in the moment. But what keeps us safe in a moment of crisis like a car accident, isn’t very healthy in the long run. If we’re in maximum protection mode ready for fight or flight all the time, then there is never a time or energy for healing, growth, or achieving goals. And in this way we can create limiting subconscious thoughts preventing us from achieving what we want.
And since 95% of what we do everyday is controlled by our subconscious mind, that’s a lot of mind power. If our conscious mind wants to achieve a goal, it only has control 5% of the time. This is why it is so important to be able to reprogram our subconscious mind so it is working for us and helping us to achieve our goals instead of against us.
So, how can we access the subconscious and make a change? In part one and two I shared a smile exercise and a posture method. Those are very powerful. I do that everyday. I love them.
Now here is the third one: breathing.
Breathing exercises create a calm, relaxed state
When we are stressed, anxious, or angry, we are holding breath. For example, I don't like crowded places. I don't enjoy going into stores to shop. When I do, by the time I finish shopping and get out of the store, I let out a big sigh. And only then do I realize that I’ve been holding my breath. That's what the subconscious does.
Our body and subconscious mind are linked in ways that are hard to imagine. Change a subconscious program, and it will affect your body. But the reverse is also true. Create a new habit with your body, and you will change subconscious programs.
So breathe slowly and deeply just like when we are relaxed and at peace and then the subconscious mind receives a signal. Hey this reaction is for when I am relaxed. And the brain receives a signal too. And it starts producing positive chemicals in our body. And our body starts to relax. So having breathing exercise brings your whole body to a relaxed state. That's why there are a lot of breathing exercises out there to improve our mental and physical health.
How to reprogram the subconscious mind to release anxious feelings & fears to be calm, relaxed and confident
We have many breathing videos as well. But for today, let's do a short and simple one. This is one of my favorites. Breathing with the earth.
Whenever you feel a little stressed, take a moment for yourself. Don’t fight it, don’t listen to the voice of fear pushing you to do, do, do all the time. Put yourself first and take a moment.
Now simply breathe out. And as you do so, breathe out any negativity. And let it go into the earth.
And then, breathe in. And as you do breathe in peaceful energy from the earth.
And repeat that. Breathe out all the negativity. Thank you Earth!
And breathe in. Feel the peaceful earth energy.

After the breathing exercise, If you feel good, congratulations! You did it. You made an access to your subconscious mind.
Do this as often as you can. So you can establish a good communication with your subconscious mind and with repetition, reprogram it to be calm and relaxed. And when you learn to be calm and relaxed in otherwise stressful situations, then you will become confident in your ability to handle anything.
This is how you take back control of your life. You don’t have to let fear rule you when things are stressful. You can choose who you want to be and let your inner power - your authentic self shine through 😀
