4-7-8 breathing is one of the most powerful and effective breathing exercises to let go of anxiety and reduce panic attacks. And it can even help you let go of stress, anger, or other negative emotions so you can be calm, relax, and happier. It’s also how to reduce stressors, overwhelm, sadness, and depression. It will help with anger management, improve muscle relaxation, increase happiness, and overall healing and health.

How to do 4-7-8 breathing
To do it, it’s best to breathe in through your nose and breathe out through your mouth. And when you breathe in, count four and hold for a count of seven, and breathe out for a count of eight. Simply repeat that four times. The speed of your count is up to you. You generally want to go a little bit on slower side but it's up to you. As long as you keep the same pace that's all that really matters.
So let's try it okay? Just relax. And then start breathe in [4 count], hold [7 count], and breathe out [8 count]. And then repeat 4 times.
Then when you're done, you can just keep relaxing and just breathe normally. It's a practice, so do this at least twice a day. You might notice improvements quickly but sometimes, it might take a month or so before you notice the effect. Just keep doing it. It's a very quick and easy exercise.
After a month, you can increase up to eight repetitions but no more.
